Watendawili is a Kenyan Afro-fusion duo composed of Israel Onyach and Ywaya Tajiri, blending R&B, soul, Afrobeat, and traditional Luo rhythms into a contemporary sound. Founded around 2020 in Nairobi, they gained traction with standout singles like “Cham Thum (Atoti),” “Sio Siri,” and “Beba.”
“Aus Nyamombasa” is an upbeat Afro-pop track by Watendawili, from Kenya, featured on their 2024 album En Route. The song, co-written by Israel Onyach and Edgar Israel Onyach and produced by Bassman, showcases their genre-defying fusion style and lyrical storytelling.
