Swedish pop icon Robyn has released her eagerly anticipated new single titled “Dopamine”, her first original solo music in a seven-year hiatus since her 2018 album, “Honey.” The track dropped on November 12, 2025, through Jamie xx’s Young label.
“Dopamine” is a euphoric electro-pop dance anthem characterized by powerful synths, a pulsing beat, and Robyn’s distinctive vocals.
It reunites her with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund, who produced many of her signature hits like “Dancing On My Own.” The track also includes a writing credit from British singer-songwriter Taio Cruz.
Conclusively, Robyn explained that the track explores having a real, intense emotional experience while simultaneously understanding it as a biological process: “The doubleness of ‘Dopamine’ is having an emotion that is super real, super strong, intense, enjoyable, or painful, and at the same time knowing that this is just a biological process in my body.”
